According to New Jersey state law, disabled employees are entitled to – and must be aware of – the following:
- A minimum of two-thirds of his or her weekly salary, up to $546
- Benefits are paid for a maximum of 26 weeks
- Benefits begin on the 8th consecutive day of claimed disability
- A disability claim must be filed within 30 days of the injury
